The installation “Closing the Cycle” evokes, from the sense of humor, the graphic result of two graffiti artists who sneak into public bathrooms with their markers and paint all the walls.
Being the bathroom the place where we have the most intimate relationship with water, it is an ideal space to sensitize in a playful way, about its use and operation.
Water, while entering our body, also comes out, loaded with elements that our body no longer needs. Each time we use the bathroom, that water returns to the cycle again, to purify itself in a natural way and become available again to quench our thirst again.
This installation invites us to reflect on our intimate connection with the water cycle and its operation, and is part of the set of artistic interventions carried out by photoAlquimia throughout the year 2019 at the Canal Foundation headquarters to commemorate its 18th Anniversary.
